Why I Started Mynd Labs

March 25, 2026 (4mo ago) · 2 min read

I've been building things on the web for years. Throughout that time, I noticed a pattern: every time I started a new project, I'd spend the first week setting up the same things. Authentication, styling, SEO, analytics, deployment. It was always the same boilerplate, slightly different each time.

The Frustration

I tried existing templates, but they always fell short:

  • Too minimal — I'd spend days adding basic features
  • Too complex — I'd spend days removing things I didn't need
  • Too personal — someone's portfolio with their name everywhere
  • Poorly designed — functional but ugly

I wanted something that felt like a product. Something I'd be proud to show clients. Something that worked the moment I forked it.

The Decision

In January 2025, I decided to build it myself. I called it Mynd Labs.

The mission was simple: build premium developer tools that help creators launch faster. Not just templates — tools, components, and experiences that make the web better.

What We're Building

At Mynd Labs, we're focused on three things:

  1. Templates — like this one. Production-ready starters that you can fork and ship.
  2. Components — MyndUI, our component library with 60+ accessible, animated components.
  3. Tools — CLI tools and utilities that make development faster.

The Philosophy

Every product we build follows three principles:

  • Premium by default — no compromises on design or performance
  • Customizable by design — one file to change everything
  • Transparent attribution — we credit openly, never hide

What's Next

We're just getting started. This template is our first public release. More templates, components, and tools are coming.

If you're a developer who cares about quality, speed, and design — you're our people.
